Dear KIPP Leaders,
Happy Summer! As you prepare for the next school year, we know you’ll be thinking about what is needed for Schoolzilla rollover maintenance as well. Don’t worry - we’re here to help! Below, we've outlined important steps that you should take to ensure that your Schoolzilla data ingestion is ready for the new school year.
Schoolzilla Summer Roll-Over Checklist: Preparing for the Next School Year
General Housekeeping
Do you have any changes to the schools in your SIS?
Please capture them in My Schools. This includes schools opening, closing, merging, or splitting. If any of your schools are merging or splitting, or if you would like to remove any closed campuses, please follow up with Support.
Schoolzilla needs accurate SIS school ID information in order to correctly provide your enrollment and demographic data to the Foundation.
Do you have new Schoolzilla Administrator users you'd like to add?
Add new users on My Users.
Do you have users who have left the region?
Please also remove Schoolzilla Administrator users who are no longer with your organization. We do not remove any accounts automatically.
SIS Connections
Do you have any edits to credentials, or are you upgrading your SIS instance?
Please use your specific SIS form on My Data to update the relevant information.
Are you using the Enrollment Template?
Please upload your new school year data to the correct school year layout on My Data.
If you are using an FTP file upload, please ensure your file names exactly match the template files available on My Data.
If you are interested in updating your ingestion method to an FTP file upload, please reach out to Support.
For general questions about the enrollment template, please see the Enrollment Template article.
Assessments
Do you have state test results?
If you have state assessment data, please upload it now.
Don't see an option for results for this school year in the drop down on My Data? You are likely the first one from your state to submit results! Please use the "Other Data" form on My Data to upload the state test result file(s) and notify Support.
