Your Schoolzilla dashboards can be a valuable tool over the summer to review student progress for the year and plan for support of your rising students. Here we describe which students and data points you can expect to see over the summer when school is not in session.
I am a school site leader or district administrator...
After the last day of school, I will continue to see all students who were enrolled in my building(s) as of the last day of school.*The last day for each district is defined based on the day the first school closes. This date can be adjusted by your Schoolzilla Administrator and may not be our default. During the summer, I can review and reflect on how my students ended the year. |
|
Two weeks before the start of the new school year, I will begin to see students who will be enrolled at my building(s) and no longer see students I served the previous year. I will continue to see data from the school year that has just ended, allowing me to review how my incoming students did last year. *This date can be adjusted by your Schoolzilla Administrator and may not be our default. I can begin planning for the new school year by reviewing the performance of my incoming students. |
|
My dashboards will continue to reflect data from the school year that has just completed until the new school year starts. Some data types may start updating immediately (ex: attendance), while others may not (ex: grades or benchmark exams will not update until new data are entered). |
I am a teacher ...

FAQ
Will data for the school year that just finished continue to update on Schoolzilla?
Yes! Nightly refreshes of data will continue throughout the end of the year and summer to ensure metrics are accurate - late added grades are reflected and any corrections made in your systems are reflected.
Which data are available during the two week period before school starts?
The data on your Schoolzilla dashboards will continue to reflect the school year that just completed. This includes the Enrollment metric, which will reflect current enrollment as of the end of the year that just completed. Your access to students will change to allow you to view last year's data for your rising students, but no forward projections are available.
What if I'm a new teacher?
If you are a new teacher and course enrollments at your district are already populated, you would be able to log in and view your incoming students two weeks before the start of the school year.
How are summer school data reflected?
Unfortunately, we can't set the roster information to show rosters for the school year that just completed as well as summer school; only one set of rosters is possible. If you would like to discuss possible options for viewing Summer School data, please reach out to your Schoolzilla Administrator and Support.
We are less than two weeks before the beginning of the school year and we are not yet seeing students for the upcoming year. What's causing this?
There are a few different reasons this can occur:
- You have not yet completed all roll over steps for your student information system (e.g. provided new calendar information, updated files etc.).
- Synergy Grade Book Not Yet Synchronized for the upcoming year - For Synergy SIS, we currently require Grade books for the upcoming year to be synchronized before teachers and school leaders will see the students for the upcoming year. This is true even if you are within the 14 day window.
- In a prior year you specified a time period < 14 days. This setting is rolled forward year to year. If you'd like to make a change, please contact Support.
