For certain normed benchmark tests, test period data is not available in the file. In these cases, we populate the test period table with a default set of test periods, which you can request that we update to your specific period dates and window names.
To request a change from our default testing window dates and names, you can:
- Download the Test Period Template.csv template and complete for your test periods. Please load this file to My Data > Other Data > Test Period Configurations.
- Submit a support request including the names and dates of your requested test period updates.
Getting ready for your new school year?
If you asked us to customize your test periods last year, those periods will be automatically rolled forward to the new school year! Please note that we keep the same calendar dates, so you may want to request that we make minor adjustments if those no longer align correctly with your administration windows.
For Achieve3000, Acuity, DECA/DESSA, Edoctrina, Edulastic, Illuminate, i-Ready, Math Inventory, Reading Inventory, and Smarter Balanced Interims (IABs only), our default periods are:
- Fall: 7/1-11/30
- Winter: 12/1-2/28 (or 2/29 during a leap year)
- Spring: 3/1-6/30
For ACT Aspire, our default periods are:
- Fall: 7/1-12/31
- Spring: 1/1-6/30
Are test periods for other assessments configurable?
For the following tests, we use test periods from the test file. Because we take test periods directly from the file, it is preferable to update test periods in the source for consistency.
