California's ELPAC assessment evaluates English language proficiency. ELPAC consists of the following assessments
- Initial Identification - used to identify students as English Learners.
- Summative Assessment - used to measure progress in learning English.
- Alternate Initial Identification and Summative Assessments - used to identify English Learners and then measure progress for students with the most significant cognitive disabilities.

Schoolzilla assumes that if the test date is during or after August the assessment is associated with the upcoming school year (e.g. 8/1/2019 test would be part of the 2019-2020 school year). Note: Summative Assessments taken in the Fall of 2020 are associated with the Spring 2020 summative assessment window due to covid. |
