Schoolzilla connects to your Infinite Campus student information system using VPN* and ODBC**.
If Infinite Campus is hosting your SIS, in order to obtain ODBC credentials, the following steps are required:
- A district's student information system administrator should reach out to Infinite Campus support to request a new read-only database account for the username "schoolzilla". Include the following information:
Vendor Name: Renaissance Learning, Inc
Contact Name: Scott Johnson
Email: contracts@renaissance.com
- All parties sign the data sharing agreement.
- After setting up an account for Schoolzilla, Infinite Campus will securely provide you the new account information and credentials.
- Administrator on Schoolzilla provides the account information and credentials securely to Schoolzilla via the My Data form.

If you or another vendor is hosting Infinite Campus, the following steps are required:
- A new read-only database account for the username "schoolzilla" is created on the Infinite Campus database.
- A new VPN account is created for Schoolzilla. If you do not see your VPN listed on My Data, let us know which of the following types of VPN we can use to access your system: Cisco, F5, IPSec, L2TP, Pulse, SonicWall, and Windows (SSTP).
- An administrator on Schoolzilla provides the account information and credentials securely for both Infinite Campus and the selected VPN on My Data.

*Virtual Private Network (VPN): VPN gives Schoolzilla a highly secure way of connecting to the server that hosts your SIS. Think of this as the “pipe” that connects Schoolzilla to your data.
**Open Database Connectivity (ODBC): ODBC lets Schoolzilla pull important data out of your SIS and transport it through the secure VPN “pipe.” Think of this as the “valve” that lets Schoolzilla pump data out of your SIS and into your dashboards.
