Renaissance's Accelerated Reader (AR) program is a practice product that allows districts to motivate, monitor, and manage students’ independent reading practice with engaging quizzes and activities.

Mappings Overview

The information below summarizes where key data elements are populated based on data in RGP for US customers (and column names from the data files shared in parenthesis for more detail). The column names referenced may not match RGP or the column name in the file exactly as this changes over time.

Key Field(s)	Mapping(s)
System Student ID	Scores are linked to students using the Student ID column in the file. We match to students in the student information system using the following (in order of preference): The StudentSourcedID matches the System Student ID* in your SIS. StudentSourcedID matches the State Student ID* in your SIS. The StudentStateID matches the State Student ID in your SIS. The StudentFirstName, StudentLastName, BirthDate columns exactly match the Last Name, First Name, and Date Of Birth in your SIS. If unique, the StudentFirstName and StudentLastName columns exactly match the Last Name and First Name in your SIS. The StudentSourcedID column matches the System Student ID with leading zeros removed in your SIS. *See your student information system page for information on this mapping.
System School ID	Scores are linked to schools using the SchoolIdentifier column in the file. This is matched to a school in My Schools based on the SystemSchoolID or the StateSchoolID. Please contact support to resolve incorrect or failed matches.
School Year	Scores are linked to school years based on dates in your School Calendar settings.
Start Date	Scores are linked to dates using the Date field (DateQuizCompletedLocal column in the file).
Activity Type	This is populated based on the Quiz Type.
Activity Subject	Quizzes are identified as fiction or nonfiction based on the F/NF activity information (FictionNonFiction column in the file).
Grade Level	This is populated using ATOS Book Level.
Percent Score	Percent Score is populated from the Percent Correct/Quiz Score. This is the field used to calculate a student's Average Percent Correct in the Quiz Proficiency metric.
Proficiency Level Score	If the student passed the quiz, then Proficiency Level Score is 1. If the student failed the quiz, then the Proficiency Level Score is 0. This is the field used to calculate Total Quizzes Passed metric.
